I've rented from Longhorn 4 times now and have had a great experience each time. I rented a smaller car each time (not a truck) for personal and business use while visiting Austin, and again when I moved to Austin last week. \r

1. The prices are better than any corporate chain or small/local place around.\r
\r
2. The service is SUPER friendly. I know the other reviews say otherwise, but I've been here four times now, over the course of two years, and I've ALWAYS experienced friendly and competent service.\r

3. They do not charge an extra fee for being under 25. This is huge for me, as I am 24 years old, and virtually all other rental companies charge me an extra fee per day (which is very frustrating as a traveling business owner and responsible driver). I'm really grateful that Longhorn doesn't impose this unreasonable fee. \r

I dealt with Jesse my first couple of times there, but honestly I found the whole staff to be friendly and helpful. I did return the car a couple of hours late once (because of massive traffic) - called in advance and had no extra charges. \r

I highly recommend Longhorn to anyone renting in Austin, and have to say it's the only reasonable choice for drivers under 25.
