I use to drive my ferrets 35 mins to see Dr. Link because the hospital specialized in exotics. I probably went for alittle over a year and she seemed very nice but didn't always know answers to my questions. I brought my ferrets in to have vaccines once or twice a year. On my visit final there, Dr. Link administered a round of shots to my 3 ferrets and included a Rabies shot which we didn't discuss and I had never authorized. I had no knowledge of this until after I read the bill. We waited afterwards to view any reactions, which is procedure. The tech that came and checked on us didn't like ferrets and asked if they were ok without looking in the carrier. I thought they seemed ok and said yes. By the time I got home my male ferret started bleeding out of everywhere and throwing up blood. I rushed him back and he quickly died from aspirating blood into his lungs. It was singly the most horrific event I have ever encountered with a pet and entirely avoidable. They were completely unsymp
