My first appointment with Dr. Littrell went very well, and she was very easy to talk to. However 2 months later I received a large bill from a lab for testing t hat I WAS NOT AWARE OF for STD testing and other tests.
FYI to future patients, STD testing is STANDARD for patients ages 18-30 and they will not inform you of this. I was a brand new patient and have never had this testing done at other doctors ever. I have no reason to. She did NOT inform me that this was a standard practice and my insurance did not cover it. SHE claims the other other tests were discussed however they weren't discussed and I was never given an opportunity to contact my insurance company to find out if it would be covered.
She obviously has no respect for her patients and their wallets, and despite many attempts at trying to reconcile this bill directly with her, she decided to formally FIRE me as her patient. Obviously she's not enough of a professional to admit that she made a mistake.
Please take this into consideration when you think of Dr. Littrell...she may be a great doctor, but be extra careful and make sure you find out exactly what testing she is doing because she won't be forthcoming and honest with you.
Pros: easy to talk to, knowledgable
Cons: bills you for testing you had NO IDEA that she was doing
