Review content:
I have been hearing about Hide as being a great place for great sushi for a great price for the past few years now. Finally, I made the 10 minute journey to Hide with my friend and boyfriend on a Saturday evening. I was excited. The place was very crowded and very small, but I didn't mind waitng 30-45 minutes for what I expected to be one of the greatest sushi experiences ever. \r

Our name was called and the hostess gestured to a two person table in front of us--which was perfectly fine except that there were three people in our party. We kindly explained to the hostess that there were three of us and could we be seated at the two open tables across the way. She said that we could not as those tables were for four people and there were only three of us. I could have understood this if it weren't for the fact that in front of us was a four person table occupied by a couple (who I'm sure jumped the line), their adorable baby and a gigantic stroller--which they really should have left outside. \r

When we explained this injustice to the hostess, she said it was the restaurant's policy (still not really clear on what their policy is), it was busy night and that there was nothing she could do. Naturally, we asked for a manager. The hostess came back with a kid who seemed to have very little experience with customers and whose main job was obviously in the kitchen as he approached us sweaty with an apron and chef's hat. He again saw no problem seating 3 adults at a 2 person table at which one of the ""seats"" was in the restaurant's main walkway and was partially blocked by a 10-foot plant. \r
\r
The hostess and the ""manager"" refused to seat us at the open tables and did not care that they were losing our business. We made sure to create a scene and left cold, hungry, and angry. I'm sure the sushi's great, but now I will never know.
Cons: too crowded, small, poor management, extremely poor customer service, doesn't seem customer-oriented
