Having a child with a chronic illness, my family has been dealing with medical professionals for many many years. Dr. Frank has the most disrespectful and rude bedside manner. It is not only how he talks to us as parents of a patient, but he speaks as if we are ignorant, uneducated people who are lucky to be in the presense of such greatness. I wonder sometimes when the Doctor forgot that indeed he is being paid by the patient (the customer), and he is indeed getting paid for a service. I pay for private insurance. Our family has no government assistance, and one of the comments he made to us once was that ""someone was having to pay for this!"", yes, they are....we are. Perhaps because we are hispanic the assumption was made that we were not on private insurance, but yes, we have it, use it, and pay for it. Dr. Frank also feels the need to speak very differently to me as compared to my husband. I can promise you that he would not speak to my husband in the manner and tone that he feels free to speak to me in. In the world of Dr. Frank, it is his way or the highway. Don't question, don't ask, and by all means, don't deviate from any recommendations he may make. Be prepared to be blasted if you question any treatments, and ladies, I would bring your husbands along if you don't want to leave feeling insulted and belittled. I have not returned to that office, and will never return there. I believe I am a consumer, and should not have to pay to be talked to in that manner. There are many options out there, and I would keep looking if your are considering this Doctor.
