Review content:
Although the staff are very friendly, the atmosphere, prices, and value lack, big time. We are "foodies"- we travel and eat out often. We especially enjoy "Mom and Pops" establishments. After reading reviews on P.O.E.T.S., we decided to give this place a whirl. (Having read the review stating the tired decor and somewhat dirtiness, we were still willing to try.) Well, yes, the "ambiance" is definitely lacking. Given the prices on the menu, it would seem the owners could give the place some simple improvements and thorough cleaning. We noticed a lot of "surcharges" on the menu- for instance, 15% added to parties of 5 or more- and the kicker was a $.50 per person for "operating costs". For this establishment, it was definitely not a warranted feature. Our food took over 1/2 hour to arrive- and even then our children's food did not all arrive at once.
