Review content:
On Friday, April 26, I had an appointment for Hampton Hearth to come to my home to service my gas fireplace. The technician was scheduled to arrive between 2:00pm and 4:00pm. On the morning of the 26th, I called Hampton Hearth to confirm the appointment, and (because I've had issues with them not keeping appointments in a timely fashion in the past), I let them know that I had to leave the house at 5:00pm. I was assured that the technician was running on time, and that someone would notify me if he would be late. At 5:00pm, the technician still had not shown up. I left the house. I received a voicemail message at 5:30 (I was unable to answer my phone at this appointment) saying that the technician is at my home ""but no one is there"". I called back at 6:00pm to let them know that I was home and the technician could return. I left a message on their voicemail system, and the call was not returned. On Saturday, April 27, I called to inquire why the appointment wasn't kept, why no one called me to let me know that the technician was running late, and to reschedule the appointment. The man I spoke with insisted that I should have called them to let them know that I wouldn't be there (an hour and a half after the scheduled appointment time). I told him that, in fact, I HAD called prior to the appointment to arrange all this. This man, whose name I don't know, became very rude and said, ""Well, that was Derek you were talking to, not me!"" When I continued speaking, he said, ""I don't need this!"" and hung up on me.
