I was going through the process of freezing my eggs at Pacific Reproductive Center, when a nurse convinced me to try the IVF (In vitro fertilization) process instead. Basically, throughout the whole process the entire staff at the Irvine location was very supportive.
My nurse especially was very good with follow-through. Every step of the way she was with me. She'd text me about when I should start and stop the various injections. Even when I was on the last step, 34 hours before egg retrieval, she was there to remind me and to help me through the steps. It was really impressive, because that's where a lot of centers fall short and things can go wrong.
After I had the egg retrieval surgery done, I had scheduled a cab to pick me up and drive me to the hotel. They wouldn't have it, and ended up giving me a ride instead, and helped me check in and made sure I was okay. I don't know if they do that for everybody, but I certainly appreciated it! They made me feel like a VIP. I truly felt important and well taken care of. And, happily it worked and I am pregnant!
The advice I would give to a potential patient is to do your homework before signing up with any center. First consider the experience of the doctor and how long they have been doing this and their success rate. For the patients in the OC, this place is great. Dr. Salem has 20+ years of success, which is surprisingly not well promoted online. Everyone there was fantastic.
