I was going through the process of freezing my eggs at Pacific Reproductive Center, when a nurse convinced me to try the IVF (In vitro fertilization) process instead. Basically, throughout the whole process the entire staff at the Irvine location was very supportive. My nurse especially was very good with follow-through. Every step of the way she was with me. She'd text me about when I should start and stop the various injections. Even when I was on the last step, 34 hours before egg retrieval, she was there to remind me and to help me through the steps. It was really impressive, because that's where a lot of centers fall short and things can go wrong. After I had the egg retrieval surgery done, I had scheduled a cab to pick me up and drive me to the hotel. They wouldn't have it, and ended up giving me a ride instead, and helped me check in and made sure I was okay. I don't know if they do that for everybody, but I certainly appreciated it! They made me feel like a VIP. I truly felt important and well taken care of. And, happily it worked and I am pregnant! The advice I would give to a potential patient is to do your homework before signing up with any center. First consider the experience of the doctor and how long they have been doing this and their success rate. For the patients in the OC, this place is great. Dr. Salem has 20+ years of success, which is surprisingly not well promoted online. Everyone there was fantastic. more

I am giving Pacific Reproductive Center a 5 star rating because I compared it to two others clinics and Dr. Salem by far exceeded our expectations. He truly analyzed my situation instead of just throwing a standard infertility protocol my way and using the process of elimination the next time. Before coming to see Dr. Salem, I had heard that he was one of the best fertility specialists in the country and I was told correct! When I went to the website for the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and reviewed the success rates for Dr. Salem, I was amazed because they were so high! This prompted me to call and make an appointment. When I initially called in tears, I got Bertha on the phone, and told her about my previous experiences at other fertility offices, her response to me was "Don't worry, we're going to take great care of you here." She never lied. From that moment on, I was treated with care, respect, and compassion. I am 40 years old and had never had children. I was so concerned that I may not ever be able to conceive based on prior diagnosis from other doctors. Dr. Salem met with me and my husband and graciously consulted with us for over an hour and a half about what kind of treatment plan would be right for me. I am happy to say that after just ONE CYCLE OF IVF, I AM NOW 3 1/2 MONTHS PREGNANT! I am SO extremely grateful and elated that I found Dr. Salem and his amazing staff, not just because I conceived on the first IVF cycle, but also because they had the BEST bedside manner and always treated me well on all my visits to the office. I could get appointment with ease, there was plenty of parking (this is important!) and I always felt like they genuinely cared about getting me pregnant! If you are looking for an amazing place to help you become pregnant, PLEASE, don't listen to those people who weren't successful or who are writing reviews because they are being paid by other companies to do so. You MUST see for yourself - Pacific Reproductive in Torrance is the BEST! When I am ready for my baby to have a sibling, I will definitely be returning! MY HUSBAND & I THANK YOU, DR. How can we not give Dr. Shala Salem a five star rating when she gave us the gift of life? Initially, we thought we were coming for Dr. Salem senior based on our obgyn's recommendation for his credibility and success but when we first saw the young Dr. Shala we were not sure what to say, feel or do! After she gave a comprehensive detailed consult we felt a lot more at ease but we still went for a second and a third consult; we did our homework since we were spending a large investment. Surprisingly, Dr. Shala's consult was a lot more educational than the other two consults even though we felt she was younger so we assumed maybe she's less experienced? We are thankful that we based our decision on a few things: the doctor's knowledge, the doctor's commitment and attention to our case during the consultation, the training the doctor has recieved and most importantly we trusted our gut feelings after all these consults. We are blessed with our beautiful healthy baby boy and we can't. Wait to bring him to our first baby reunion with Dr. Shala. more
