Flew from Orlando to pick up a 94 Bounder we found on ebay that we paid $18,000. Had to take a cab from the Phoenix airport. The owner Ron did not even say hello while we dealt with John. We checked the most important items, fridge, generator, levelors, roof a/c and then left with the unit. Right away we noticed how the engine had poor power, but we went on to WalMart to get supplies for the 2000 mile trip. Came out and the coach would not start. Called John, nice guy, who got us a new battery and we mentioned the poor power. He said it may need new filters. We broke down 3 times after that and had to get a new starter $300. Wrote Ron twice and no answer. Located the last owner who said he had to give Ron $1300 for new tires or he could not take in his trade. NO NEW tires were on it. Ron also took credit for replacing a windshield when actually it was the past owner who did that and the invoice was in with the coaches manuals. Upon getting home after a highly stressful drive, I took the coach to the Cummins dealer in Daytona. They found a very clogged air filter, $252 and it helped a little bit. I had to come back and they found it needed a lift (fuel) pump and float sensor $400. Getting better, but now they say the fuel injection pump needs rebuilt, $1800. I also changed both of the fuel/water seperators and oil change. The blower motors on both furnaces need to be replaced $400. We found out from the past owner that the collector wall clock with the Bounder logo had been swapped out, and the coffemaker and video equipment taken. Are these guys running a used RV parts store too??
