Businiess name:  Mama's Daughters Diner

Review content:
Mama's Daughters is one of those places where everyone eats there because it used to be the only game in town, so to speak. It has such a long history that legend says it was built by Stephen F. Austin himself, but that is legend, mind you. If the name says "Flow" from that old 80's hit show, Mel's Place to you, well, you aren't too far off. The salads are the only reason I ever stop by. You are served huge portions for a fairly low price. The other stuff, sandwiches and breakfast, I don't touch. There are too many other superior places closer to my house that keep me from getting too adventurous Plus, I've heard from ex-coworkers that if you've had the salad, you've had the best at this restaurant. I did, however, tried their chicken fried steak waaaaaay back in the day (10+ years ago). It was average. It didn't offend me, but when people say the words chicken fried steak I think of other establishments before I think of MDD. I recommend the Cobb salad. Like I mentioned, huge portions, fresh ingredients, and the ranch is good. It's a down home kind of place so expect that sort of decor. Nothing too spectacular, but if you are in the mood for a good salad close to home, try 'em out.
