Finally found a decent Tex Mex restaurants in Irving, Texas... I visited this place on a Saturday night & it wasn't extremely busy, but plenty of people to keep the staff busy. The interior design was pretty decent w/ some earth tones & textured stucco accenting & arcs in the back wall where we sat in a booth. Ambient music surrounding the place was a good selection of the newer latin music heard on the radio. SERVICE was excellent. Just like I like it, with a smile & with an emphasis on pleasing the customer. This was an important component of the experience, but the best part was the food. We tried some some freshly made chicken stuffed jalepeno poppers & a ""Parrillada"", which was plenty for two. The poppers were HOT!, not a major mouth meltdown for me, but definately will be for those who are used to the light stuff. But, no need to worry, the temp goes down with a good dip in their cool ranch sauce. Great tasting stuff! The ""Parrillada"" came with the traditional grilled beef mexican steak & chicken cut in strips. It didn't stop there... two skewers with a total of 4 bacon wrapped shrimps, grilled mixed veggies, & a small plate of ""choriqueso""... ALL this on a hot skillet plate.. PLUS the fixings.. 2 plates of exceptionally cooked spanish rice, scoop of quacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, & refried beans. EXQUISITE! If you go, say hi to one of the best waiters I've seen in action, Gabriel...
