Review content:
In fairness, I am not a huge fan of Hibachi-presentation, but I have hit Sakura a few times. Though it initially delivered a pleasant dining experience with good food, I am sad to say that with each subsequent visit, the experience left more to be desired. On our most recent trip, the chef seemed distracted, and spoke mostly to one patron throughout the presentation. We had a child of about 10 who was there for his birthday; the chef tossed him rice three times without ever coming close to his mouth, which I think embarrassed the boy somewhat. His interaction with the other diners as they put their orders in came off as sarcastic, going so far as to criticize their choices in how the meat they order should be prepared. To cap it off, the green tea my wife ordered tasted burned. I realize that some green tea can have a bitter or roasted flavor, depending on the blend, but this tea tasted like someone had prepared it in a coffee pot that had allowed all the coffee to burn off. It literally tasted like burned flour. When we mentioned it to the server, she passed it off as ""how green tea should taste"" and, with a slight attitude, admitted that ""some customers don't know what real green tea tastes like."" I doubt we will be returning.
