Businiess name:  Pomodoro Italian Restaurant

Review content:
I had my first experience at Pomodoro recently and at first I thought I had found something special. The restaurant had a pleasant smell of roasting garlic and the many patrons were happily chatting and enjoying themselves. My friend ordered an antipasta plate. Initially, it looked impressive, however it turned out to be very disappointing. It had some kind of processed cheddar cheese and another white cheese I could not identify. It was most certainly not an Italian cheese. There was a sliced up meatball (huh?) and black olives. The waitress explained that their order of Kalamata olives had pits so they would not serve them. I eat olives with pits at restaurants all the time. The marinara sauce literally tasted like pureed Campbell's vegetable soup!\r Luckily I ordered the soup instead of the salad. However, I got clam chowder with grit. There is nothing as gross as eating a sandy soup. My friends got the salad and it was surprisingly adorned with Fried Chinese Chow Mein Noodles !? I was so confused. My entree was ok, however it had tomatoes roughly chopped that still had the woody stem attached. Finally , dessert was inedible. The burnt creme tasted like scrambled eggs with sugar and the chocolate mousse was like a dense piece of sugar saturated lard. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. My ice tea was a winner. I liked how it tasted freshly brewed. The atmosphere of the restaurant was appealing at first, however when I went to the bathroom I had to maneuver around buckets of food remnants from the kitchen. Maybe I came when the cooks were having an off day. Obviously the place is a favorite of others as there was no shortage of willing eaters waiting to be seated. I doubt I'll be back. Pros: Good ice tea, Somewhat good atmosphere Cons: Terrible Terrible interpretation of Italian food
