Terrible customer service! On Saturday, our alarm starting beeping/talking/obviously malfunctioning every now and then. We called and were told ""Oh. Sorry. The office opens on Monday."" The guy clearly wanted nothing more than to get off the phone and was very rude about it, like I'm an idiot for not wanting a buzzing, beeping, talking box in my house. By Sunday night, it was loudly beeping/talking once a minute or so-- keeping the whole house up all night. Monday, when we called, they said they would ship us a battery to replace ourselves (after being told that it wasn't a low battery and then suddenly later in the day it was definitely a low battery) and that you can just press Disarm twice to silence the unit for ""4-6 hours."" No idea why the first guy couldn't be bothered to share that, and no idea why I'm expected to service this unit myself. The battery came, and we had to call back to find out how to install it. No instructions were provided, I guess if we hadn't happened to catch them during business hours we would again be waking up in the middle of the night to silence the alarm. We had to open up the panel and unscrew it-- this is clearly and obviously not something that a consumer is supposed to do. The cable company doesn't have you open up your cable box and mess around with the wiring and computer chips in it! We broke the latch off of the unit following the instructions (which included prying it open with a BUTTERKNIFE). Come on here to read that they give you a hard time about cancelling--- well I am. ASAP. The incompetence this weekend was really stunning.
