Review content:
South Beach is just like any other of the larger gay dance clubs around the country - some nights its absolutely magical and unforgettable, and some nights it seems like nothing but drama. Without a doubt though, this club is on a level above all the other clubs in Houston. First off, this is one of the ONLY clubs in the city that plays 100% actual DANCE music - 120-140 BPM tracks with vocals that you can find on the Billboard dance/club chart. No R&B or hip-hop ever. Second off, the light/sound system is amazing, and of course there's the infamous "cool jets" that spray dry ice on you once an hour. South Beach has lots of special events: holiday parties, "theme" nights, and top DJs from around the country. And finally, the guys (and girls) here are HOT - probably the best looking crowd in the city.
Pros: great music/DJs, atmosphere, place to party
Cons: parking, sometimes too packed
