We'd heard great things about Kenny's, so we went to look at engineered floor samples and get an in-home estimate. The owner and staff were friendly and warm. Then, everything changed. We had several questions we submitted to them via email. No reply for 4 days. So, I finally called to see why we hadn't heard anything. We got a terse answer back, only partially answering our questions, and adding that "they'd been extremely busy" and "if this was so urgent we should have called and said so!" ?? This made us feel like an intrusion rather than a valued customer.
We ended up choosing another family-owned flooring company. Kenny's owner emailed to ask why, and I explained. 'Warm and friendly' suddenly changed to 'combative/defensive/angry'. I received a flurry of emails from him, 4 of them in the space of 4 hours, each one stranger than the last. (He was answering things I'd never even asked, and one email even contained some old newspaper clipping written by some unknown guy explaining that a flooring store should *never* let customers take home flooring samples - they'll lose the sale). There is something really 'off' with this owner. I don't know what it is, but if he contacts me again, I'm filing harassment charges. And I certainly do NOT want him, or his crew inside my home. His obsessive emailing frightens me.
