I bounced a check there due to a sudden closure of my checking account that was beyond my control (precaution due to fraudulent activity on my account) and I forgot I wrote him a check. So when the bank asked if there was anything outstanding they needed to honor I said no. THAT WAS MY FAULT, the rest RIDICULOUS! Emilio had my number but rather than calling me he chose to call my aunt to tell her. My aunt was nervous to tell me cause she thought I was in trouble financially since I bounced a check for only $60 I must be hard up, 3-4 weeks later my little cousin told me that she heard family talking over Sunday dinner, and that I bounced a check. I was mad that he had called my aunt AND NOT ME but I immediately called him to apologize and arrange payment. I said I'd be by Tuesday 5/24 since they were closed Monday. I said I'd try to go in in the am. I had such a hectic day at work and was with customers ALL day. At 4pm on 5/24 I got a frantic call from my neighbor, asking me: Am i ok? Do I need to borrow $? I said no, why what's up. He said Emilio was going door to door asking where I worked, when do I come home, etc.. Told all neighbors I bounced a check but neglected to say we'd talked about it and that it was only $60!!! HE IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND I BELIEVE THAT TO GO DOOR TO DOOR AND BROADCASTING PRIVATE BANKING INFO IS ILLEGAL. So he discredited me with both my family and neighbors before ever attempting to call me personally. HE HAD MY NUMBER. When we spoke Saturday he even reiterated that fact and read me the cell phone number. I guess things are really tough for him if he has to resort to such tactics. I am going to pursue action against him if it is determined that he broke any laws. If he didn't, he certainly did not act professionally!!! THAT'S FOR SURE. I would like to apologize for making a scene in his shop but after my frantic neighbor called me, I was pissed. I asked why would he do that? Why go door to door in my neighborhood where I've lived for 15 years and say I'm passing bad checks (neighbors assumed it was a large amount due to how he was acting and how he was knocking on everyone's door) and telling people he needed to find me!!!! HE HAD MY #!! When I asked why he just smirked and that set me off. So sorry for that and only that Emilio. The only reason I could think of that he'd gone so crazy, was that it had been about a month, but if he'd called ME FIRST that never would've happened. As for their work, when Paul was there, salon was great. He's not there anymore. I was unhappy with my haircut and my cousins highlights were brassy and way too chunky (6 large sections of orange) but she's 12 & thought it was cool so I never said anything. If he hadn't done all that over the check I never would've posted a neg review, but I feel I have no choice now.
