Review content:
Went for Valentine's Day dinner, but was not advised when we made reservations that only a $79 per person set menu would be available. Sadly, the menu did not appeal to us, and we told the server this. The owner came over, and his response was, ""the staff was instructed to tell everybody making reservations about the special menu."" He offered no apology and did not offer any assistance, such as getting us alternate entrees. It was too late to go somewhere else since it was Valentine's Day, so we stayed and split an entree. The portions were unbelievably small and the food was horrible. The owner stopped by later to see how we liked the live music, and seemed oblivious to the fact that we had barely touched the one entree that we had ordered. \r We were appalled to notice they set up extra tables in a hallway to accomodate the extra demand for tables-- I can't imagine spending that price to sit there! \r \r Prior to this we'd been to Nicollet Island Inn several times and enjoyed it. We will, however, never return. Cons: owner who's oblivious to customer service
