Did you know there is a mathematical equation for how good a pizza restaurant is? Well it's Proximity to home X Taste. Think about it. No one wants to drive half-way across town for a slice or even have a pizza pie delivered from across town, but if something is conveniently located you can put up with something less than spectacular. Russo's though is 1 block from where I live and they make great pizza. I have had lunch and dinner here multiple times. For lunch they offer a soup and slice special which may be one of the most filling lunch specials I have ever had. This could only be second to a buffet. Their creamy Tomato soup reminded me of a cold winter day while their huge slices made me think of a great New York pizza joint. For dinner, I have ordered nearly everything on the menu. There pizza and pasta taste great, but I like to think that their hidden gem is their artichoke dip. I feel most restaurants go to Walk-mart, buy some frozen dip and then zap it in the microwave before serving. Judging by how delicious their dip is, there is no way Russo's does this. Their dip is creamy artichoke heaven. It is so thick you could spackle your walls with it and eat it later.
