I took my dinner club Eight Friends Out to NY Pizzeria for a little taste of how it's done back east, and our host Jorge made sure we were royally cared for. We had a mini-Progressive dinner starting at Farrago's for drinks and moving to NY Pizzeria, so I stopped in early to confirm arrangements with Jorge. He was extremely accomodating and made sure we received special seating, special service, and of course, the most delicious thin crust pizza in Houston! We had 5 different kinds, extremely flavorful and crispy, and then we ended with huge desserts fit for a true NY or Boston Italian...Italian cream cake, a dark chocolate cake, NY cheesecake, and my favorite--a connoli they filled fresh with ricotta & chips--yum yum! All this in a very picturesque new midtown neighborhood--we loved it! Hats off to Jorge!
