Review content:
I've been to this place dozens of times since I stumbled into it 3 years ago trying to find Mustang Doughnuts on the SMU campus (I lived in Ft. Worth at the time!). Yes, I actually seek out doughnut places so I am not after the usual affair of doughnut holes and kolaches. After visiting Randy's and Stan's Doughnuts in LA, I was determined to find something DFW has to counter with and I will say this place is one of them.\r \r Depending on the time of day, the place will be packed full of doughnuts and specialty ones for you to drool on. I normally go before 9 AM as that is when the kiddies come in and take the best ones. The owners explained to me they have different ones depending on the days, with the weekends being a bit more extravagant. I especially like the Dulce de Leche doughnut, along with the coconut creme. I've pre-ordered a couple dozen or so in advance on a weekday when it's my turn to bring in breakfast to the office. I like to show my coworkers how it is done properly with the specialty ones!\r \r The regular doughnuts are okay, just average and by no means the reason you come into this place. I usually sample the kolache too, just to see what kind of bread\sausage combination they have to offer and it's better than your average ""Donut"" place. The bread on the kolache is really tender and flaky, especially the croissant ones.\r \r
