Tried to call in a take-out pizza order for 45 minutes. Redialed over and over. Phone was continuously busy. Finally jumped in the car and drove down. Upon arrival, the clerk behind the counter ignored me and was chatting on a personal phone call. After I finally ordered my pizza (one large 16"" Vino's Supreme for carry out), sat down in a filthy chair. The tables were not cleared even though business appeared slow. Very few patrons in front rooms (it was Saturday at 4:30 PM). I saw an employee touch their hair then top a salad with cheese. Nasty! Waited 38 minutes for my large pizza, the crust was wet and soggy in the middle, but burnt on the edges. The bottom of the pizza was black. I've been eating here off and on for 16 years. I've seen the food taste, portion size, and customer service plummet in the last year. The questionable characters panhandling in the parking lot across the street was the last straw. There are too many better options available now, including Damgoode Pies, Iriana's Pizza, Pizza For Less, and even PaPa John's Pizza. Unfortunately, Vino's pizza doesn't taste any better than one of the PaPa John's signature New York style pizzas (and they answer the phone and deliver!)\r \r Overall: A disaster for me. I'll never return again. Pros: They accept credit cards. Nothing else. Cons: Food taste, customer service, value, cleanliness, panhandlers.
