Review content:
My friends and I were in a few days ago and went with the tasting menu and there were a few gliches. I am hoping the owners read these reviews so they can iron a few things out. The first course, antipasti, served on one plate for four people did not have enough food for 4 people. There were 4 rillettes, that were kinda over greasy/fatty and needed salt, but nothing else on the plate was for 4. There were only 3 SMALL pieces of cheese so we had to divide them so there was enough for the 4th person. When served the soup, one bowl was placed on the table for everyone to share. Now, I really like my friends, but a communal soup bowl is pushing it, thankfully we were all healthy at the time. We did ask about it and they brought us ramikens that WE sat there and divided out.
I could go on, but the real issue was that there was not enough food. We were each paying $50 and I did not feel that I got my monies worth. And our dining experience was constantly interrupted by us having to stop and figure out how to best share the food so everyone got something. A suggestion on the cheese course would be to offer TWO pieces of bread cut in two -so 4 small per plate- we got 1 piece of bread and decided we would each keep our own piece bread and we passed the dish on. It was just not well planned or executed.
I really wanted to like this place, I was very excited to go, but I left hungry and under-whelmed. I hate to say it, but it just wasn't worth the money. I really hope this place works it out, If you are reading this, you should go give them a try, just don't get the tasting menu.
Pros: space is cute
Cons: tasting menu not a value
