This was by far the worst church that I have ever been to. I have volunteered here dozens and dozens of times and the staff always hold their nose up in the air. I can BOLDLY and COMPETENTLY say that 96% of the people that have something good to say about this chuch have the exact same hubris that the pastor Matt Cassidy and his staff, Sarah Staggers and Trish have. You should have seen the face that he made when I asked him if he would make me a copy of a page of homework that I needed for school. Given that I was a student I didn't have enough money to buy my own printer/copier. He grunted and appeared irritated. He stomped out of the room and seemed like he was fed up with all the congregation's needs. I tried to make conversation with the pastor (Matt Cassidy) while he was getting the copier going and he kept the same mean look on his face and ignored me with an attidude of ""Don't bother me.""\r I had a friend who wanted to volunteer to be a greeter at the door of the church due to a vacancy in the position. The staff wanted him to fill the position but later refused him due to a background check. A BACKGROUND CHECK!!! FOR DOING VOLUNTEER WORK AT A CHURCH!!! \r In the Bible it says to be like Christ as he is perfect in God's sight. To be forgiving, forbearing, striving, and to give people second chances. When somebody slaps your cheek, turn your face and let them slap the other. If you disagree with that then you are also saying that you do not agree with God sending his son Jesus to do the work that he did here on the Earth 2000 years ago, because that work was accomplished in order to give you a second and a third and a tenth chance, to give you a chance to repent and change your evil ways, to forgive you of your sins. It also says that the Lord's mercy endures forever. but Grace covenant church would rather judge you by a background check (judge the book by the front cover) than to be like Christ and just accept you out of love and give you a second chance. \r In the Bible it says that we are supposed to be the Light of the world. To be different than the world. To accept the world and be fishermen of men! To draw heathen people to the Lord's loving heart through Jesus. Grace Covenant Church's Matt Cassidy may teach that but he is a hypocrite and does not practice what he teaches!!! \r I performed countless amounts of volunteer work for this church teaching sunday school for the four and five year olds. Taking care of the Church's children for free. Many many hours of work to help Matt Cassidy out and to bring forth light to the Children of God and support the Kingdom of God. I couldn't make it to sunday school to volunteer two sundays out one of the months that I was there due to family emergencies and the sunday school director, Sarah Staggers gave bad references of me to other employers!!! For doing VOLUNTEER work for a church one would think that he/she would have something good to put on their resume! Not here you don't!!! \r The church then wanted to hire me for a $10/hr position for taking care of infants on fridays from 8:30 - 12:00pm called MOPS. So I was flattered and it kind of made me feel soft inside and make me want to forgive them of their hubris. The new lady named Trish then changed her mind and decided not to hire me because Sarah Staggers told her that I wasn't reliable because I couldn't come to Volunteer those other days. Let's you know what kind of Christ-like church Grace is!!!! NOT VERY!!!! \r I WILL NEVER RETURN!!!\r
