Review content:
In my opinion, Nu U is a scary company. They are licensed in Las Vegas, and seem to act more like bookies than professional medical service providers. Nu U talked me into signing up for a Care Credit account to buy their $3,600 medspa package. I purchased photofacials, laser treatments, botox and facial fillers. When I complained about the lack of results, I was told I had to ""give it a chance."" After I finished almost all of my treatments, I still noticed no results. I talked to their ""doctor in charge"" about my complaint, and he said he would help but never got back to me. I finally demanded a refund from GE Care Credit and, after sending Care Credit three letters specifically detailing Nu U's high-pressure sales tactics, misleading claims and what seemed to me to be false advertising, GE refunded my money in full (even the amount I had already paid!). Six months later Nu U turned me over to a collection agency to force me to give back my refund. The owner even threatened me with court. She accused me of using all the treatments then asking for my money back, even though my technician told me I had to finish the treatments to see the results! According to one published news report, GE Care Credit terminated their relationship with Nu U due to the number of customers who demanded refunds. Finally, to make matters worse, my board certified plastic surgeon told me he had to surgically correct problems in other patients due to the bumps in their faces from receiving the same facial filler I had got from Nu U Lincoln Park!
Cons: Misleading, No Refund Policy
