I have had foot pain since I was 13 (I am now 29). I went into InStep with some challenging problems. I am very particular about my shoes, needed a high toe box, needed help with even higher arch support than Danscos offer, and don't have much money. They were patient and cheerful as I tried on probably 15 pairs of shoes. When we finally selected a pair, they stretched the leather in a spot where it was a little too tight. Although the shoes were expensive, they are the only pair I own. I have not had foot pain as long as I wear them. I have worn them out now (4 years of continual wear) and am on my way there today to get a new pair. I would recommend their staff anywhere. Their service is just as good as Karavel Shoes. \r A side note about ""blisters'"" review: it is never wise to take brand new shoes on a walking vacation. You should always make sure you properly work out any footwear kinks in advance. It is unfair to blame your mistake on InStep. Hopefully you have the humility to learn from your mistake to avoid future discomfort. Pros: If you have a standing-intensive career or have foot pain, they will take excellent care of you and will work to find a solution to your particular needs Cons: I think it's always difficult to spend more then $20 on shoes, but you get what you pay for.
