Review content:
I made an appointment to visit Nicole Miller to view their bridal collection. This was the least expensive salon I visited by far, but since I am getting married on a beach I thought some of their simple, chic gowns may be appropriate. When I arrived I was hurried into a large, cold room with a cement floor. The salesgirl pointed to the gowns hanging in the corner and I was asked if I knew which gowns I wanted to try on, because ""most people don't try on all of them."" Keep in mind, ""all of them"" consisted of about 10 cheap gowns. Despite the fact that the consultation appointment was supposed to be an hour, the salesgirl pointed to her watch after 15 minutes and told me we'd have to hurry as it was ""A matter of time."" The room is shared with other brides, and after a coupe minutes a man came in and told my friend she'd have to get off the couch because there were other people coming in. They never did arrive, but my friend was forced to stand. It appeared that because these gowns are sold at a far lower price-point, the service is far superior as well. The girl who I was assigned to appeared to be bored and was clearly just punching the clock and trying to get her acting career off the ground. I hope she's not holding her breath, by the way. At any rate, I think you get what you pay for. Some of the gowns were cute enough, but they weren't well made and there is now way I'd trust them with fittings and alterations. I left after trying on just a few gowns and went to Mark Ingram Bridal Atelier. They are higher end and te service is FAR friendlier and the atmosphere is more relaxing. Cons: terrible service, cheaply made gowns.
