This is my 2nd review of the place, as it is the first time we had anything by pasteries. The onion soup as is as good as anywhere in the world, and my wife's whole grain pancakes with almond creme brule sauce were outstanding. \r \r The almond croissants are the best in Portland, no matter what anyone says! Get them early as they run out quickly, but save some for me! \r \r The same large fruit tarts that are about $20 here would be double that in Los Angeles, and triple in Paris!\r \r The place was jammed on staurday, yet the service was fine and attentive. \r \r I must admit, however, that the Challah, although excellent, wasn't as good as some other bakeries.\r \r I'm going again today for lunch; there are just too many things that sound wonderful not to make this a regular stop. Pros: Excellent pasteries and lunch at very reasonable prices Cons: run out of certain items early
