Review content:
The Oinkster is Eagle Rock's jewel. Their tagline is ""Slow Fast Food"" which means quality comfort food with great ingredients. You cannot find another place in L.A. that smokes their pastrami on site (nope, not even Langer's). Chef Andre Guerrero's idea of making food the old school way is a nice change from the fast food a lot of us have gotten used to over the years. The Oinkster has homemade ketchup, mustard sauces, and carolina bbq sauce. And the biggest reason to go there? The double fried Belgian style french fries! If you want, you can get your fries extra crunchy by asking for them to be done well. \r

If you're in the Eagle Rock area, make sure you stop by the Oinkster for a smoked pastrami sandwich, some fries, and some root beer in a bottle. The new joint is a throwback to how good fast food should taste. And if it's near Thanksgiving, order the Pumpkin Pie milkshake. It's really good.
Pros: Fries, Pastrami, Pulled Pork Sandwich
Cons: Pricier than places like the Hat but the quality is worth it
