Businiess name:  The Oinkster

Jeez Louise! I can't understand why there has been anything positive said about Oinkster. I live close by, so was also waiting for the reopening some months back. We've given it two tries, and there won't be a third. \r \r The food's been dreadful and the service abysmal on both occasions. The pork and chicken were both as dry and flavorless as white toast. Actually, on our first visit the food was non-existant for 1/2 of our party, as they'd run out of every meat on the menu by about 7:30. NOT that there is a lot of variety to the menu in the first place. And no, I'm not grousing ""just because I miss Jim's Burgers."" I only wish that CitySearch allowed zero stars. \r \r All in all, don't waste your time. Or your money. Lots and lots of your money. Go about 8 blocks east to Pete's Blue Chip for real variety and real value in Eagle Rock. Pros: Nothing comes to mind except proximity to home. Not a good enuf reason Cons: Everything else.
