Its hard to decide what's the worst thing about this place - the average but entirely overpriced food, the horrible service, the automatic 16% added gratuity on the horrible service or the fact that management argues with you when you try to resolve a problem.\r
\r
I went with a friend during Mardi Gras with a friend for lunch. The food was ok- I probably wouldn't go back but it wasn't horrible. Our service appeared drunk, SERIOUSLY, and told us a story about how he took a cab to work and found a digital camera in the cab and kept it (NICE ONE CHAD- way to be an honest and decent person!!) \r
\r
The bill was $58.85 to which they added 16% automatically ON A PARTY OF TWO. So the total with tax ended up being $74.01 which my friend and I split the check. I paid $37.01 and my friend $37.00. That should be the end of it. I have the signed copy as does my friend. WRONG. \r
\r
I called the manager when I found out that they charged me the FULL $74.01. In the course of the conversation the manager asked me if I had called earlier which I said I hadn't. Apparently he admitted that its happened ""a few times"". Honestly, I didnt' discover it untill I was reconciling my checkbook a month later- so this has been going on a LONG time. He explained that it happens when the server doesn't close out the ticket properly even AFTER the two cards were swiped and signed. \r
\r
The manager started arguing with me when I told him that it wasn't my fault his server didn't do his job properly and I was disputing the charge with my bank. I actually had to hang up on him because he started yelling about it. \r
\r
AVOID this place. Try Oceana!!
Pros: Convenient Location
Cons: Poor Service, Horrible Attitude, Automatic Gratuity
