Without a doubt there is not a more back to the basics, no frills, doughnuts shop around. With the stuffy/snobby Krispy Kreme's popping up everywhere, Ken's is a breath of fresh air. The doughnuts are cheap and great I might add...The secret though, 2 a.m. The hot glazed doughnuts are the best you'll ever find. If you're not a night owl and don't like to stay up late, then just ask the friendly staff and they'll kindly guide you to the freshest batch of doughnuts in the shop. The selection is great at night and in the morning.
The owner is great and extremely funny if you get to know him. I would and do recommend Ken's to all my friends, as it is my choice for doughnuts. Nothing comes close...especially at 2 am. This is one of the greatest...and last true doughnuts shops of yesterday.
