The last time I had a real straight razor around my ears and all down my neck was when I was in the Corps. That was eight years ago, and I've been looking for it ever since. I got to the Avenue Barber Shop at around three in the afternoon and had to wait a while for a Barber to cut my hair, but as I was waiting I got to see something very cool. All types of people from different age groups and backgrounds going to the same place to feel and look better. One young hipster guy had long hair and got it re-shaped, one older fella got a sweet flat top, one other guy got what was probably the ""Wall Street Special"", and another guy got a pompadour that would make Elvis bust out in a wiggle dance. My turn came around and a huge man with tattoos on his neck and greasy, tall hair and Buddy Holly glasses named Kevin called me up to his chair. He asked me what I wanted for a haircut and I told him that I wanted it short and cool, but not too hipster. He gave me the best haircut of my life and my wife loves it. I'm thirty years old and have been to SO many Barber shops and salons all over the world. I found this place six months ago and it's the best one I've ever been to. The staff here is incredible at what they do, the shop is KILLER and I will never go anyplace else. GO HERE!!!! Pros: Best haircut and staff ever. Cons: Slight wait, but it is expected.
