Review content:
My wife purchased a kid's guitar that was, according to the packaging, of basic instrumental quality. When my son went for a lesson, the teacher examined it and explained that it was a toy, not an instrument, in that it could not be tuned. The store (clerk, manager, owner) refused to take it back, saying that, despite the packaging, it was purchased in a toy store, so my wife was on notice that it was, in fact, just a toy. The general attitude was caveat emptor (buyer beware), and that, 'hey, we've got your money, and tough luck.' This is rather unfortunate, becasue our past experiences there had been quite good - the staff never minded kids coming into the store and playing with the display toys, even when parents failed to properly control their kids, and they really do have a great selection (inlcuding lots of Playmobil stuff). However, we no longer patronize them if we can avoid it.
Pros: Excellent selection of quality merchandise
Cons: Less interested in customer service than making a buck
