I read a few of the other reviews on here for White & Measells LLP, and they're all good, but I still wanted to add my two cents after this firm was so helpful to our daughter when she was charged with a DWI while a student at the University of Texas at Austin. Needless to say, her father and I were less than thrilled with the situation.. Being from out of state, I had to go by referrals from friends to retain a good defense attorney for her. In her situation, it seemed the charges were extremely unfair, almost ridiculous, and it was very frustrating having to jump through all those hoops from one end of the country, with our daughter living in Austin, and her trying to study for her end of semester exams all at the same time. I spent many hours calling and speaking with a few different criminal attorneys that we had been referred to. White & Measells was recommended most highly, and I wanted my daughter to have a criminal lawyer who had been around the block in terms of communicating with the courts and negotiating with state attorneys. We were very, very happy with our choice and with the results White & Measells got for our daughter.\r

In Austin, they seem to want to make an example of young students (anyone remember the Bush daughter's problems being in the news when she was at Univ. of Texas?). I don't blame them for taking driving while intoxicated seriously, but like I said, with our daughter, they seemed to be coming down particularly hard, when there wasn't any solid proof that she had even been intoxicated. \r

Everyone at White & Measells was great with our daughter, and they really helped us all through the process. It was an ordeal, but we got the results we wanted for our daughter, and luckily, she didn't have to keep the DWI on her permanent driving record. Many thank you's to David White, and I can't recommend these guys enough to anyone in Austin, TX in need of a strong defense attorney!
