I adopted a wonderful dog from this facility this past weekend. I've read some reviews that were not favorable - and I disagree!!! No, it is not the Ritz Carlton for unwanted animals. However, these animals are loved and well taken care of by Cheryl and her volunteers. Are they over crowded? YES. Do they need donations? YES! Do we realize that this is a non-profit organization? I don't think so. If we did, we might be a little more understanding regarding returned phone calls, hours of operation, etc.\r

My Sophie is fabulous. She received all her shots, was spayed and micro chipped. No fleas, ticks, kennel cough, etc.\r

I went to all the other shelters in S.A. Yes, they are state of the art, closer than Borgfeld Rd. The only person that spoke to me in EVERY ONE of those places was at the front desk when I entered. No one else.\r

I have nothing but good things to say about Paula and Cheryl at Animal Friends. If you would like to help make things better there, how bout you step up to the plate and volunteer or better yet donate some money.\r
