I was on vacation visiting my grandmother and she took me here. I was very excited, had a great time painting my vase, I meticulously painted for over an hour getting it just so. finally I was done. I gave it a once, twice, and third over hoping it would turn out the way my mind pictured... it's hard to paint pastel knowing it will turn vivid colors after it is fired. That part of it was exciting though and I anticipated its completion for 5 days. Now before I start my complaint let me assure you, I am not a perfectionist, nor was I under any delusions that it would turn out without flaws. That was fine, it was a fun project. When I went to pick up my vase it was beautiful..almost perfect! I painted the inside an extremely bright yellow... but noticed there were multiple black spots on the lip of the vase and inside the vase. i didn't use black. When I asked the nice girl at the counter what causes that she said, ""well you are in luck the owner of the store is here- lets ask her!"" She walked my vase to the owner, and had to interrupt her 'chit chat' with another person. The girl asked the owner what causes those spots and the owner looked highly annoyed. she said "" well it's a vase right? you're just going to have stuff in it anyway right?"" No actually I wouldn't, I hadn't planned to use it as an actual vase but more a piece of art. "" ""well you probably didn't notice the black paint, a lot of people don't notice paint splatter"" At this point I became angry because she was talking to me so condescending after a simple curious question. The poor girl behind the counter witnessing this was super nice, and got my attention back to her. She apologized, and explained what could have happened. Ah, finally. She is truly the only reason I didnt get into a screaming match with the owner and make a huge scene. I am severely disappointed with the owners behavior both during the initial painting session ( she again seemed exasperated every time we asked her a question or were even mildly indecisive) and at pick up.I have lots of family and friends in Oregon, and they are all aware of mine and my grandmas terrible customer service. The owner should think long and hard about working in the back away from customers and hiring someone who can be bothered by the seemingly very frustrating public. No one I know will ever be back to this shop which is too bad because they would have become more than 1 time customers
