Review content:
Auntie Em's Kitchen has been in Eagle Rock for nearly 20 years and was never really any great shakes until this past September when it was taken over by new owners. The quality of the menu took such a leap it was literally jaw dropping to us locals who had eaten there previously. Gone now are the processed cheese, processed lunch meats and Webbers white bread - instead they now serve sandwiches on fresh La Brea bakery bread that include deli sliced meats, provolone or goat cheese amongst many others. There are now also plenty of vegetarian dishes available, hot plate daily specials and a constantly rotating selection of soups that have to be tasted to be believed. Last but definitely not least, the in store pastry chef offers up a constantly changing selection of cakes, pies, scones, cookies, ect that can only be described as AMAZING.
