Review content:
I would fly 2000 miles for a haircut...as long as Miss Sovay is holding the scissors! \r
I left my beloved neighborhood in South Austin in November 2008, to move 2000 miles back to the Mountians of Vermont. Salon Sovay was a part of my life in that neighborhood and community. \r
I remember when the Salon first opened and I met Sovay. This gorgeous girl was on her hands and knees with her hair up and old jeans on, slaving away painting, scraping and building her salon from a run down old house. She was passionate and determined to create a great salon, never complaining about the hard work. \r
I was one of the first people to get a haircut there and was hooked immediately. She approaches her work as an artist, and as a musician I could relate to that language. She also attends seminars and workshops with the best in the industry. It was always fun to hear her stories on the latest thing she learned because her dedication and enthusiasm are so authentic. \r
When I came back for the emotional closing of my house last month, I called Sovay and she went out of her way during her off hours to schedule me in. She also (unsolicited) offerred to ship me products from her Salon. She genuinely likes to make people happy and cares about each client. \r
I am coming back in April and will not let anyone touch my hair until I get there, I do not care how frizzy my hair gets until then. Sovay is an uptown girl in high heels, yet really a good old South Austin girl with an artist's soul. She puts her heart into her work and goes every extra mile for each client. That is why I will go 2000 miles to get my haircut at Salon Sovay. \r
I miss Y'all!\r
Becca
Pros: Professional's eye, artists soul, Sovay Rocks!
Cons: 2000 miles away from Vermont!
