First off, I do not write negative reviews about anyone or any company. But this is honestly the worst buying experience I’ve ever had in my entire life. I understand that things can go wrong with projects, but if that happens, the company needs to take care of it in a timely manner without hesitation and more cost to the customer. None of this was done during my experience with Appollo. I spent roughly 17k (+/- 1-2k) installing an advanced Crestron Prodigy system with Appollo systems. They were recommended by my former boss. Very soon after install I started getting periodic HDMI outages; meaning the entire system would cut out every 30 minutes or so. This happened with everything (PS3, DirecTV, iPod, etc.). This was informed numerous times to Appollo, who then had their techs out to diagnose the problem. Nothing ever worked. About 9 months after install, they came to the conclusion that it was electrical and that I needed to install another outlet and/or circuits into the basement. Even though my electrician said it wouldn’t help, I proceeded to spend $1000.00 of my own money. The outages were still happening after the electrical work, so finally a year or so after install a tech came over to once again try and figure out what was going on. He bypassed the receivers and voila, no outages. So I’m thinking cool, I’ve been waiting to figure this out for a year. But not cool. Instead of taking care of the problem and swapping out the receivers, they decided to give me a “deal” on new receivers, which would ultimately cost me another $1800.00. In my experience, sales was terrible, customer service about the same. The techs were nice guys, but obviously couldn’t figure it out for a year. But I still think the techs were pretty decent, they’re just overbooked. From this experience, I would highly recommend avoiding Appollo at all costs. There are other certified Crestron dealers on Creston’s website that would be a better option. I’m very disappointed in my experience, and I’m still reminded of it everytime the system cuts out.
