This definitely has to be the best Vietnamese that I've tried in Orlando. Most of these Vietnamese restaurants in Viet Down are kinda run down with no ambiance to speak of, but Lac Viet has that quaint and elegant Asian feel that almost seems obligatory in finding a good Asian restaurant. They don't let a superficial shell of elegance do all the talking, however. The food stands up with a big statement and lets you know they are for real. The pho is delicious, the noodles are wonderful, and their entrees taste fabulous. One of my favorite dishes there is the ginger and chili spiced chicken. The flavors come from every corner and you feel overwhelmed with happiness as you polish off the plate. They also have great pork, shrimp, and a wide array of vegetarian dishes.
