My friends and I made a trip to Miami for my bachelorette party - and since most of us are from Georgia or Kentucky - we wanted to try some Southern food. After a recommendation from a diner at the bar, most of us got the Blackberry bourbon lemonade. It was wonderful. So refreshing, with fresh blackberries, and served in a Mason jar (a girl from Kentucky can appreciate this!). The service is plated so you can share, so our group of 8 ordered the iceberg salad (served with grilled corn, house cured bacon and avocado dressing), deviled eggs, fried green tomato BLT, grilled vidalia onion stuffed with cornbread, sweet tea-brined ribs, steak served on truffle mashed potatoes, shrimp and grits, grilled corn on the cob, hand cut french fries seasoned with bacon salt (yes, BACON salt), macaroni and cheese and the fried chicken with tobasco in the batter. I can't tell you which item was better, because it was all PERFECT. All of the plates were completely clean, and most of us - although completely stuffed - contemplated ordering more just because it was THAT good. The bacon is made in house and was soooooooo good. The ribs fell apart when you ate them with a fork, the fried green tomato BLT is served on pimento cheese and was so delicious we ordered a second round. The atmosphere is wonderful - bright, but not too trendy - and there was a projector with vintage pictures of country stars and famous Southern folks. And the service was absolutely outstanding. Our waiter was a sweet woman who was provided us with great recommendations, knew the menu and was always checking on our group. There was constantly people cleaning off the table and refilling our water....or Blackberry bourbon lemonades :) A must-visit if you are in the Miami area. Now if I could only convince them to open up a restaurant in Atlanta.....
