Our trip to Mahican Moccasin Shop was delightful! The customer service is excellent. The owner was quiet, but pleasant and extremely knowledgeable about local history and cultural heritage of the Mahicans.
The quaint shop has a large variety of gift items, including hand-crafted moccasins in men's, women's and children's sizes, stone and beaded jewelry, clothing, mohican artifacts, toys, leather belts, leather hats, sheepskin, deer hide, and even custom-made footwear to your order.
For locally made items, Mahican Moccasin Shop has Vermont-made maple syrup, maple sugar candy, cheeses, wild strawberry and blueberry jams, New England recipe books, and much more.
We will definitely be back to Mahican Moccasin Shop next time we are up in Vermont. It's the perfect place for creative gifts and fun items for yourself! You may even catch a glimpse of the owner making moccasins.
