Review content:
Nothing you can see from Highway 55 or even from in front of the steam table tells you how homemade the food is here. The chopped pork is perfectly textured and spiced and piled high on the bun. The sides include Grandma-tasting macaroni and cheese, stewed potatoes (hunks of real potato stewed with lots of onions and pepper, almost like potato soup), dark and slightly sweet Brunswick stew, fried cabbage, and collard greens. Hushpuppies are the best I've had of dozens of barbeque places (knocking Q-Shack out of first place). Tea is really good. Portions are substantial, prices are more than fair, and it's clean. If there's better chopped pork and country sides, I haven't seen it yet. I can think of nothing I'd change about what I've eaten in my four visits there.
Pros: Everything's homemade, easy parking, clean, cheap
Cons: It's counter service, so service is polite but not really friendly
