Review content:
I LOVE Beatrice! I had decided to wear my deceased Mother's wedding dress as a tribute, and so I was very very wary of who I was going to let touch it. The dress was handmade in 1980 for my Mom, who was 5'11"" and weighed about 15 lbs more than me (I am only 5'7""), so the dress needed a lot of work. To top it off, the dress was for a cool-weather wedding, and I got married on a beach where it was 85 degrees. Bea was awesome at discussing and giving me examples of the multiple options we had, and she had great ideas for the design that I would never have thought of on my own. The dress had a lot of lace work on the bodice, and this is where her attention to little details really defined her excellent craftsmanship. She took an old-fashioned dress, kept all of the unique features of the gown, and made this a beautiful modern piece that could not have been more ""me"". Bea is an ARTIST, and in that sense a bit eccentric. She will be 100% honest with you about the construction and comfort of your dress, which is very important when you're talking about something that you'll be wearing months down the line. She quoted a very reasonable price for the amount of reconstruction that had to be done on the dress, and despite extra needed appointments, never charged me a penny more; she even did a quickie alteration on the slip for free! I would absolutely recommend Beatrice to anyone who appreciates excellent quality!
