Review content:
I grew up in Haddonfield and have been eating at the restaurant where The Bistro is located since back in the days when it was called 59 East. Having heard that The Bistro was under new management, my family decided to give the restaurant a try this morning. We invited a close friend of ours to join us so that he could meet our newborn baby. When our friend, who is African American, arrived, he tried to present us with a gift for the baby, and a woman who works at the restaurant (a manager?) approached our table and told our friend that he should not be in the restaurant trying to sell items to the patrons. Her motivation in approaching our friend was painfully obvious, and we were so shocked by her ignorance and racism that we were literally left speechless. If I were the new management of The Bistro I would fire this woman on the spot. My family, and everyone we know and have already told about this incident, will certainly NEVER eat at The Bistro again. Cons: Read below...
