Club One Shadyside has great facilities, and service...but the only thing that bothers me about this business is their pretentious...and seemingly racist business strategies. Although this particular Club One is advertised as being located in the upscale wealthy neighborhood of Shadyside, they are not. They are located in East Liberty/Larimer. They are told to say, ""Shadyside"" for obvious reasons...East Liberty is a great neighborhood~ it's diverse, and quickly re-developing (for better and/or worse). It deserves to be credited with having an upscale fitness center like Urban Active just down the street in Larimer...who will also say they are not in Larimer. Lately, whenever something good happens in East Liberty/Larimer the media and businesses call the neighborhood ""East Side"", or, ""East End""...and never mention the name of the neighborhood. Reversely, whenever something negative occurs, it's always called by it's actual name of East Liberty/Larimer, and as you might have guessed, Club One is trying to attract a ""certain"" kind of client, so, they are claiming to be located in Shadyside.... This kind of business strategy will now lose my business for good.
