The sidewalk tables at Acqua, located on the edge of a cobbled area called Peck Slip, offer serenity in the early evening that you can't find in the Village or other restaurant-heavy neighborhoods. The landscape still looks like a seaport from the era of clipper ships and brigantines.\r
An oasis in the desert wasteland (or maybe waist-land) of the South Street Seaport, Acqua is one of the city's least pretentious restaurants-wine bars, offering many vintages by the quartino, along with a pleasing selection of authentic, fresh Italian cuisine, guaranteed by their passionate Italian chef. Try their special Seafood Risotto or fresh Spinach ravioli with home made ligurian pesto. Enjoy!\r
