Looking up reviews for this place online led me first to Urbanspoon online where I saw the following response to a customer review complaining about the cigarette smoke: \r

The owner's name is Dave Mendelson (DMM), and the fact he would treat his customers - not to mention any potential customers reading reviews - in such a contemptable manner is deplorable. I just can't believe it! Furthermore, he just bought the business back from the previous owner this year, so he's lying when he says it's been under the same ownership or managment for 20 years. \r

I've only been back once this year, but after reading the above, I will never, NEVER set foot in Hemingway's again!!
